Rico Bogen
Rico Bogen's star rises in 2023: to most people's surprise, he wins the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Lahti and has since been among the very best triathlon has to offer. His great passion was written in the stars – the whole family lives for triathlon. Rico finds his way to the sport early and makes waves on the short distances.
Rico quickly establishes himself as one of the sport's best swimmers and cyclists, shaping a recurring picture: Rico against the rest of the field. He races offensively, doesn't shy away from risk, and competes to win. The same held true at his first long-distance race. In the triathlon mecca of Roth, he finishes a strong third in 7:27:53 hours – the fastest debut of all time.
The fastest debutant of all time.
Rico Bogen studies alongside his sport and sometimes sits exams just days before major races. Disciplined both on and off the course, he has carried himself this way from a young age. Impressive, according to his coach Philipp Seipp, who has guided him since 2025.
