Franz Kipchoge! The tattoo of the exceptional Kenyan runner adorns Franz Löschke's forearm on race days. It's a source of motivation for the running specialist, who will be competing in his fourth Ironman in Hawaii and still aims to be in contention for the top spots. After several weeks of training on the neighboring island of Maui, the 30-year-old is familiar with the climatic conditions and is making a strong impression. We accompanied him with our camera during his final tempo run before the big race day.
